Sharing a Map Visualization of Public Sector OSPOs List — Feel Free to Reuse!

Hi everyone from the OSPO Alliance and the Public Sector OSPO Network,

I’m Ian from the Open Culture Foundation (OCF), Taiwan

OCF is currently providing some policy recommendations to Taiwan’s Ministry of Digital Affairs (MoDA). I mentioned the great work here. Hopefully one day they can start their own OSPO and join this network too!

I was asked which governments or entities have already responded or engaged in this movement, so I created a map visualization based on the most recent list from: :backhand_index_pointing_right: Public Sector OSPOs network

(since some of our government officials tend to prefer visual formats when exploring new ideas :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

You can find the map editable Canva here: :globe_showing_asia_australia: https://dub.sh/ocf-floss-map

I imagine colleagues from other countries might also find this kind of map useful when introducing the concept of Public Sector OSPOs to their own governments.

So I’m sharing both the English and Traditional Chinese Canva versions, freely editable and reusable for your local adaptation.

P.S.

I noticed the floss-pso.network site doesn’t specify a CC license for its content. For now, I’ve added a simple attribution note in the Canva visualization.

If I’ve missed or misunderstood the proper citation practice, I’d be grateful for your corrections or suggestions. :folded_hands:

Thank you @yanyiyi , that’s a great and I’m sure a useful peice of work that will be reused.

Hey @yanyiyi,

Thanks, that’s awesome!

As for the licence on the content of FLOSS-PSO, that’s a very good point, thanks for the feedback! :slightly_smiling_face:

I will start a thread to get the general feeling about this, but we are thankful for your contribution, and the attribution is well appreciated, so thank you!

I will update the thread here when we have discussed the licence for the website. Have a wonderful day!
