This network is a volunteer-led initiative with three goals:
Publishing a list of public sector OSPOs worldwide
Building a standard for describing OSPO (aka OSPOmeta)
Stimulating opportunities for OSPOs to work together
The floss-pso.network initiative was announced in June during the United Nations Open Source week. There are now 12 OSPOs from 5 countries and one from an international organization.
@pbareille, @boris and @bzg moderate a posteriori discussions in the “Public Sector” category of this forum, with the goal of keeping it a vendor-neutral and safe place for everyone. If you’re not comfortable with anything share here, place do contact us in private.
Don’t hesitate to introduce yourself in this thread
Thank you, have a great summer, and see you around the world
I’m Boris Baldassari, a long-time contributor to the OSPO Alliance, working as a software engineer at the Eclipse Foundation, and humbly helping moderate this forum (and category).
I have also worked on the FLOSS-PSO website, and can happily discuss evolutions / fixes on that matter, including the addition of new OSPOs. Please feel free to reach out for any question related to these various topics!
I’m Philippe Bareille and I currently run the City of Paris’ OSPO that I created in 2021.
I’m thrilled to welcome any public sector open source initiative in this network, to share and build digital commons with peers. Please don’t be shy and come talk and share to make this a better, sustainable and sovereign place.
